CARRYING CASE - Check for dirt, moisture
and mildew. Clean with mild detergent and wa-
ter. Dry with lint-free cloth.
BATTERIES - Remove batteries. Check for
corrosion on terminals and dirt or moisture in
battery cap. Clean battery cap with dry cloth.
Replace batteries if corroded.
LENSES - Check for dirt and moisture. Clean
with lens paper or brush and/or alcohol and
cotton swabs
EYECUPS - Check for dirt, dust, cracked or
torn cups. Inspect for bent, broken or improp-
erly fitting eyecup.
INTERPUPILLARY ADJUSTMENT - Slide
each eyepiece back and forth to check for
binding or looseness.
OBJECTIVE LENS FOCUS KNOB - Rotate
objective lens focus knob to ensure free move-
ment (range is approximately 1/3 turn).
NECK CORD & LENS CAP- Check for cracked,
torn or missing lens cap. Inspect cord for cuts,
damage or frayed ends. Re-tie ends if neces-
sary.
LATCH - Inspect for damage.
