SETTING UP
Under the SET UP MENU, setup the unit for different operating modes.
Adjust the settings to fit your particular case. Do this procedure on the
remote control.

Press the MENU button.
The main MENU screen appears.
Select'"4 SET UP MENU" from the MENU screen.
Press the V (3 times) and >
buttons.
The SET UP MENU screen appears.
Adjust the settings.
Select the item to change with the V or A button. The selected item
flashes. (Each item is explained below.)
Set the data with the >
or<
button.
When finished, press the MENU button.
SET UP MENU ITEMS
COLOR SYSTEM @
The COLOR SYSTEM position selects the "AUTO, "PAL", "ME SE CAM",
"NTSC
color system for the input source.
AUTO: Select to have the unit change among the PAL, MESECAM and
NTSC color system automatically.
Select the "AUTO
for the usual
use.
PAUMESECAM/NTSC:
If the unit does not correctly select the proper
color system, resulting in abnormal coloration,
manually set to the
PAL, MESECAM
or NTSC color system.
BACK COLOR @
When the BACK COLOR position is "ON", a blue back screen color
appears during playback of unrecorded
portions of a tape, or during
periods of no TV signal reception.
When the position
is '(OFF,
even during
periods
of no TV signal
reception, no blue screen appears.
