Inspect the Safety Brake System
(if equipped)
Genie specifications require that this procedure be
performed every 1000 hours or annually,
whichever comes first.
Detection of damage or a faulty safety brake
system is essential for safe machine operation. An
unsafe working condition exists if the system is
damaged or faulty and does not allow the mast to
sequence properly, free of hesitation and binding.
Bodily injury hazard. This
procedure requires specific repair
skills, lifting equipment and a
suitable workshop. Attempting
this procedure without these skills
and tools could result in death or
serious injury and significant
component damage. Dealer
service is strongly recommended.
Bodily injury hazard. Beware of
sharp edges. Wear protective
gloves when performing this
procedure.
