GAS GRILL IGNITION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Open the hood and make sure all the burners are closed.
2. Connect the regulator to the gas cylinder. Open the gas cylinder's valve to release
the liquefied petroleum gas.
3. Press down on the knob on the barbecue and turn it counterclockwise to the MAX position.
This releases the liquefied petroleum gas.
4. If the burner does not light within 5 seconds, turn the knob to the off position and
close the valve on the gas cylinder. Wait 3 minutes and then repeat steps 2, 3 and 4.
5. When the barbecue is lit, repeat step 3 for the barbecue's other burner.
6. Close the door on the barbecue and let the barbecue warm up to the desired temperature.
7. Turn the knob between MAX and MIN to adjust the heat.
8. To turn it off, turn the knob on the barbecue clockwise to the off position and then
turn the gas cylinder's valve to the closed position.
9. Protective gloves are recommended when handling particularly hot components.
10. Minimum clearance from the sides and back of the unit to combustible construction is 1 m.
11. For the side furnace, the pot should have a diameter of more than 20 cm.
OPERATING CHARCOAL BARBECUE
• Never use petrol or white spirit to light the barbecue, as this can cause heat to spread
uncontrollably due to explosions. Use one of the lighting methods described below instead.
• The briquettes/charcoals are ready for barbecuing once they have an even glow
and a grey film covers them. Do not use too many briquettes/charcoals. One layer
is sufficient. Otherwise the barbecue may be damaged.
• PLEASE NOTE! The briquettes/charcoal must always be placed on the charcoal grate
in the bottom of the barbecue. Otherwise there is a risk the barbecue will be damaged.
LIGHTING WITH A BARBECUE STARTER/CHIMNEY STARTER
• Place 2–3 lighter cubes on the charcoal grate in the bottom of the barbecue.
• Fill the barbecue starter with the required number of briquettes and place on top
of the lighter cubes.
• Light and wait until the briquettes have an even glow.
• Pour the briquettes onto the charcoal grate.
• Allow the barbecue to cool on a non-flammable surface.
