The functionality of this switch is described in Appendix C and in the Configuration & Operation Manual. 5.2.2 JUMPERS The jumpers can be accessed by removing the round shaped battery cover with a Torq T10 screw driver.
Page 25 5.2.3 HF PULSE SUPPLY SELECTION (Applicable for -P and -Z options) Each of the HF pulse frequency inputs can be separately selected for several kinds of inputs. This selection is mainly made via software, but the selection between a magnetic (coil) pickup sensor and other sensor types need to be made by switches.
Page 26 5.2.4 ANALOG OUTPUT SWITCHES With the option -AI, the available analogue outputs (1 or 2) are passive, so the output loop need to be externally supplied. With the option -AZ, 2 analog output loops are provided which are individually selectable as passive or active.

Page 32 The input voltage drop is less then 2V @ 24mA. When using passive sensors with a C5 in active mode the voltage drop over this sensor should not exceed 20V at maximum source current. If sensors are used with a very low voltage drop (less then 15V at maximum current) an external series resistor of 330 Ω(near to the sensor) is recommended to avoid heat dissipation in the device.
