Device Markings

Certain markings (symbols) can be found on the side of the product and are defined as follows:
Symbol
CE marking: the device conforms to the requirements of applicable EC directives.
UKCA marking: the device conforms to the requirements of applicable Great Britain regulations.
UL marking: conforms to the requirements of the UL certification.
Products must be disposed of at the end of their useful life according to local regulations.
Read the Hardware Installation Guide for more information.
For indoor use.
Protective earth
FCC marking: This device complies with FCC rules part 15, subpart B, class B.
Warning Symbol: Significant information required. Refer to the Hardware Installation Guide.
HIGH VOLTAGE Symbol: Direct contact will cause electrical shock or burn.

General Wiring Recommendations

This device must be installed by accredited electricians or similar technical personnel, following all the safety instructions given here and in accordance
with local legislation for installation of electric equipment.
Risk of Electric Shock: Turn off power before any kind of servicing to avoid electric shock.
Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the
regulations. Battery replacement should be done by an authorized installer.
The device is to be connected only to networks without routing to the outside plant, all communication ports are
considered for indoor only and can be connected SELV circuits only.

When installing within a metal cabinet, ensure that the cabinet is properly grounded.
£
A power supply with an NEC Class 2 or Limited Power Source (LPS) and SELV rated is to be used.
£
Respect the correct polarity of power and communication cables when connecting them to the device.
£
Always supply the correct voltage to power the device.
£
For SCY-1DALI only, the circuit-breaker must be used before the power supply. Rating 250V- 6A.
£
This device was designed for installation in an enclosure. To avoid electrostatic discharge to the unit in environments with static levels above 4 kV,
precautions should be taken when the device is mounted outside an enclosure. When working in an enclosure (ex. Making adjustments, setting
switches etc.) typical anti-static precautions should be observed before touching the unit.
