Product Description
The SOLSTYCE Series lighting communications modules provide gateway functionality between a DALI installation and BACnet/IP systems. The gate-
way enables the control and monitoring of DALI ballasts and drivers from BACnet/IP systems.
SOLSTYCE modules also allow the integration and configuration of the specific parameters for DALI occupancy and light sensors as well as for DALI
push buttons.
General Installation Requirements
For proper installation and subsequent operation of the device, pay special attention to the following recommendations:
£
Ensure proper ventilation of the device and avoid areas where corroding, deteriorating or explosive vapors, fumes or gases may be present.
£
Allow for proper clearance around the device's enclosure and wiring terminals to provide easy access for hardware configuration and maintenance.
£
Upon unpacking, inspect the contents of the carton for shipping damages. Do not install a damaged device.
£
In case of wall mount, firmly fix the device on a non-vibrating surface following the mounting instructions.
£
Mount the module, preferably, on a DIN rail inside a grounded metallic cabinet following the instructions below.
£
This device cannot be installed outdoors or exposed to direct solar radiation, water, high relative humidity or dust.
£
The device must only be installed in a restricted access location.
Take reasonable precautions to prevent electrostatic discharge to the device when installing, servicing or during operation. Discharge
accumulated static electricity by touching one's hand to a well-grounded object before working with the device.

Dimensions SCY-1DALI-24V SCY-2DALI-24V Mounting Instructions £ Mount this gateway over a DIN rail, preferably inside a grounded metallic industrial cabinet. £ Ensure the gateway has sufficient clearances for all connections when mounted. See the dimensions in the image above. £ Before mounting, please ensure that the chosen installation place preserves the gateway from direct solar radiation, wa- ter, high relative humidity, or dust. -

- Page 9 Powering the DALI Bus Connect + and – terminals of the DALI bus of your DALI channel to SOLSTYCE DALI port. Bus has polarity, but most DALI ballasts are polarity insensi- tive, except the power supplies. NOTE: The gateway comes with the DALI power supply disabled out of the box in case you are using one on the Bus.
