5-3 Scanning
(1) SCAN TYPES
e VFO SCAN
Repeatedly scans all fre-
quencies in the entire 144
MHz band. The frequency
skip function can be used.
Scan normally operates in
an upward direction. Scan-
ning, however, can be
selected in a downward or
upward direction by rotating
the tuning control.
e MEMORY SCAN
Repeatedly scans all me-
mory channels in sequence.
e FREQUENCY SKIP FUNCTION

Skips unwanted frequencies
such as CW transmissions
that inconveniently stop
scanning. 38 frequencies
can be programmed as the
skip frequency using me-
mory channels 47 ~ 10.
