Installation of Plustek X50 for HK Series Kiosk
1.
Unlock and open the front door of the HK series kiosk.
2.
Before installation of passport reader, you have to remove the printer
module first. Remove the thumbscrew behind the printer module first.

- Page 3 Remove the four hex nuts which fixed onto the four studs of the bracket. Remove the two screws on the bottom side of the HK series kiosk. Remove the mounting bracket out front the HK series kiosk.
- Page 4 Remove the dummy cover by loosening four hex nuts. 10. Put the X50 passport reader onto the bottom plate bracket like the below picture.
- Page 5 11. Connect the cable to the X50 passport reader. 12. Push the X50 passport reader with the bottom plate bracket into the mounting bracket to the end. 13. Fix the bottom plate bracket to the mounting bracket with four countersunk flat head screws. Countersunk Flat Head Screws.
- Page 6 14. Align the 4 studs on the passport reader mounting kit with the 4 screw holes of the HK series kiosk, and then push the passport reader mounting kit into the HK series kiosk inwards. 15. Fix the passport reader mounting kit with four hex nuts.
- Page 7 16. Fix the passport reader mounting kit with two countersunk flat head screws on the bottom side of the HK series kiosk. Countersunk Flat Head Screws Screws. 17. Connect the USB cable and the power cable to the printer module.
