 During assembly:
- The KINETEC

traction, only remove the headboard panel to perform cervical traction.
 During use:
- Before any use, please make sure that the weight of the patient and of the accessories are compatible with the security load of the bed.
- Check before each use and each week the fixing of the jaws, the general state of the accessories.
- The physician must define the protocol and ensure that it is correctly implemented.
- The weights must be positioned outside of the line of the frame ensuring that they do not pose a risk to any person interfacing with the frame.
- Do not position weights above the patient.
- All bed functions should be blocked when using the traction frame to avoid incompatible use with the patient's pathology and/or assembly
performed.
 During movements / manipulations of the bed equipped with a traction frame:
- Use only the head and foot panels, do not use the tubes of the traction frame.
- Make sure no one is in contact with the elements of the bed and frame. This is to prevent entrapment and pinching with all the moving parts of the
bed and frame.
- Make sure that no components are outside of bed frame (weights, bars, accessories).
- Make sure that no outer components can knock against the frame. (Light strip, lighting, TV, indication panels...).
- Do not move the bed with the frame and the patient, but in an emergency situation take care of the obstacles which can provoke weight

- When you move the bed with the frame and the patient please make sure that the frame is in a low position except when contraindicated and
in this case take care of for example the elevator entrance.
 Remove the traction frame when it is not used.

Assembly
 The KINETEC

 Please respect the positioning of the main elements of the frame, as shown on the figure 1.
 When mounting the porch bars, using the screws supplied with the frame in order to secure all (see photo a).
 During assembly of the B210 octagonal bar make sure that both double clamps are on the top of porches (see picture b). The plain bar on the top of
the porch.
 To use the bed extension, the 2 double "DMEP" jaws must be loosened to allow the octagonal bar "B210" to slide, then retighten them after locking the
bed extension.
 When you install the head porch, the grounding continuity is assured by the cable fixed to the head porch "PRTT64" and the bed grounding socket
(see picture c). Attention with positioning the cable of grounding continuity well in order to prevent that it is not detached during the moving of the
bed with the frame. Make sure that the measure of this socket is inferior or equal to 0.1 ohms.
 In order to respect the grounding continuity, you should realise a maximum of 5 connections.
Cleaning
 Clean the traction frame between each patient.
 Use a DISINFECTANT (PROPANOL/ISOPROPANOL or ALDEHYDE-based solution). Spray the disinfectant on the SURFACES (plastic and metal
components). We advise to pay particular attention to the articulations and on holding back zones like the screws and bolts.

disposal. You should also clean the yellow protections "SP01" to each patient.
 Recommendations to obtain a maximum hygiene of the pads.
Disinfecting of the pads: Washing at 30°C with use of a disaffection solution during the rinsing cycle. Example of product which can be used: Solution
