Function and application

ATTENTION
The PURITY replacement cartridge may only be used in combination with the pressure vessel that has been specifically designed for its size.

The PURITY Finest 600/1200 filtrate helps to produce the unique coffee aroma – especially in espressos – and allows the body of the coffee to develop. The characteristics of the coffee crema are experienced in their full intensity.

The PURITY Finest filter systems reduce the total hardness in drinking water, thereby preventing limescale and gypsum deposits in the downstream appliance.

Calcium, magnesium and metal ions can be removed from the drinking water during the flow process.

Additionally, the filter material not only reduces turbidity and organic pollutants, but also the level of substances that can impair taste and odour, such as chlorine residues.

Typical applications for PURITY Finest 600/1200 include coffee machines, espresso machines and hot drink machines in drinking water areas with a high level of gypsum hardness.

The system is not suitable for use in combi ovens and conventional ovens.

Liability exclusion

The filter must be replaced exactly in accordance with the information in these replacement instructions. BRITA assumes no liability for any damage, including consequential damage, arising from incorrect use of the product.

Filter capacity

The stated capacities are guide values that may vary by +/– 10% depending on the product volume flow and also on the machine types.

Commissioning and replacing the filter

Filter replacement and maintenance of the filter system may be carried out only by specialist staff.

The PURITY replacement cartridge may only be used in combination with the pressure vessel that has been specifically designed for its size.

Before commissioning or replacing the filter, please read the manual for the PURITY Quell ST filter system. There you will find detailed information on operating and safety notes, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical data.

The filter cartridge must be replaced after 6–12 months and no later than 12 months after commissioning regardless of the level of exhaustion of the filter system. If the capacity of the filter cartridge has already been exhausted, it must be replaced earlier.

Operating position and filter flushing

The BRITA PURITY Finest 600/1200 water filter systems must only be operated in an upright position.

However, when commissioning, always flush the filter in a lying, then standing position. You will find instructions on how to flush the system in the PURITY Quell ST manual.
