5.11 Continuity Test
To avoid electric shock, never measure continuity on circuits or wires that have voltage
present.

the switch is closed, the circuit will short and a steady tone will sound.

3. Insert the black test lead plug into the negative COM jack. Insert the red
test lead plug into the positive
4. Touch the test probe tips across the circuit or component under test.
5. View the resistance measurement on the display.
6. If the resistance is < 50 Ω (approximately), a steady tone will sound.
7. If the circuit is open, OL will display.
