Safety
•
Never expose the product to high temperatures, dust,
powerful vibration, impacts, humidity or moisture.
•
Do not put the product in a position where it could fall into
water or other liquid.
•
Never try to open the casing. Repairs and service work
should be performed only by a qualified technician and only
using original spare parts.
•
Do not let children play with the product.
Cleaning and maintenance
•
The meter can be cleaned by wiping it with a dry cloth.
•
If you are not going to use the meter for a long time, you
should remove the batteries and store it in a dry, dust-free
environment, out of the reach of children.

Using the product
Inserting the batteries
1. Remove the battery cover by sliding it in the direction of
the arrow and lifting it up.
2. Insert 3 × AAA/LR03 batteries. Check the markings in
the bottom of the battery compartment to make sure that
the polarity is correct.
3. Replace the battery cover.
Battery saving function (APO)
The meter automatically switches off 5 minutes after the last
button is pressed.

To switch the meter on without the battery saving function:
1. Check that the meter is switched off.
2. Press and hold [ HOLD/BL ] and then press [
"APO OFF" will appear on the display.

Check that the microphone is aimed at the sound source

when taking a reading.

Use FAST sampling to capture fast, brief transients such as
sudden sound spikes.
•
Use SLOW sampling to get a more general profile of
the sound environment. You should opt for SLOW sampling

when you are taking readings of continuous sound sources,
such as background noise.

Taking measurements in strong winds can lead to false

readings. Check that the microphone's wind protection is
in place.

If the sound level exceeds 230 dB, "OL" appears on
the display. At sound levels under 30 dB, "UN" appears.
Note: Risk of permanent hearing damage. Always wear ear
protectors/defenders when taking readings of high sound levels.

Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that the product should not
be disposed of with general household waste.
This applies throughout the entire EU. To prevent any
harm to the environment or health hazards caused by
incorrect waste disposal, the product must be hand-
ed in for recycling so that the materials can be dis-
posed of in a responsible way. To recycle the product,
take it to your local recycling facility or contact the retailer. They
will ensure that the product is disposed of in a way that does not
harm the environment.
