Thanks to SINAMICS G180, the drive system LOHER DYNAVERT has been integrated into the Siemens SINAMICS drive family. The standard SINAMICS G180 device type is the specific drive solution for the oil & gas industries as well as for the chemical, petrochemical, energy and process industries.
The solution shown can be used both for new configurations and for integration into existing projects. The connection of the SINAMICS G180 is carried out with the APL channel block FbDrive and the motor-specific frame 1 or 20. Core content The example for the SINAMICS G180 frequency converter is fully configured using a predefined Solution Template.

During the OS compilation, the motor symbol and the corresponding faceplates are generated automatically. Operation and Monitoring The APL faceplate enables the SINAMICS G180 to be controlled via the PROFIBUS DP and the engine condition along with the measured values, such as feedback, torque and power rating to be displayed.
The channel block detects bus errors and reports them to the output "Fault = 1" and sets the control word "PZDOut1 = 16#47E". The fault messages are forwarded from the channel block to the motor block. The motor block allows the fault messages to be displayed in both the motor symbol and the faceplate of the OS runtime. The channel block evaluates the fault and outputs the number of the corresponding Namur message via the "MsgNamur" output. If you use any other means to assign parameters, there may be deviations. The Inverter Management Software is a clear and structured PC program which allows parameter assignment and control of the SINAMICS G180 frequency converter. The communication between the PC and the frequency converter occurs via a USB adapter, the RS232/RS485 interface, PROFIBUS DP or modem.

Control word STW 1 (via PZD 1 OUT) The individual bits of the control word STW 1 are freely available in the SINAMICS G180. To achieve the desired control functionality with these bits, the parameters of the SINAMICS G180 must be assigned accordingly.
The entry of 0 - 100% requires the value 0 - 0x4000 to be transferred via PROFIBUS. The scaling of the setpoint value specification to the desired frequency takes place in the SINAMICS G180 with the parameter P-MACHINE POWER CONV > P-speed default > Bus SV%. The frequency value parameterized here corresponds to a setpoint of 100%.

If additional binary information of the SINAMICS G180 is desired for a specific application in PCS 7, these bits can be used for this purpose. The corresponding parameters of the SINAMICS G180 must then be assigned.
I-motor, M-motor, P-motor (via PZD 3 to PZD 5) These values are transferred in different scalings, depending on the selected actual value transferred by the SINAMICS G180 and the exact type (power class) of the SINAMICS G180. The condition code on the display or motor encoder, e.g. motor current I-motor, is derived from the device performance and shown with two, one or no decimal places.
SINAMICS G180 is used. MELD_NAMUR (PZD 6 IN) In the event of a fault-related shutdown of the SINAMICS G180, the data word "MELD_NAMUR" provides more accurate grouped information about the fault according to NAMUR recommendation.
In a PCS 7 environment you have to deactivate the „Keep-Alive“ of the SINAMICS G180. For local mode of the SINAMICS G180 in a PCS 7 environment, it is mandatory to deactivate the „Keep-Alive“ of the SINAMICS G180, because it is not PCS 7.
