The identity of the MS is indicated on the right-hand side of the screen, in the "SSI
MS" field. The simplex/duplex capability is shown as well, see Fig. 10.9.
More information about the MS under test is indicated on the right-hand side of
the screen, below the "SSI MS" field. This includes the air interface standard
version and the encryption capability.

The MS identity consists of three fields: the Mobile Country Code MCC, the
Mobile Network Code MNC, and the Short Subscriber Identity SSI. If the result
shows only one code, this is the SSI and the mobile's MCC and MNC are identical
with those of the simulated network. MCC and MNC can then be found on the
left-hand side of the screen.

The MS may conform to either edition 1 or 2 of the air interface standard
ETS 300 392-2.

The simplex/duplex capability does not refer to full or semi-duplex speech calls
but to the capability of transmitting and receiving at the same time. Duplex
capability is required for multislot speech/data calls.

Start the base station simulation in the STABILOCK.

Prepare the mobile for calls and tests.
