3-12. REEL DRIVE MECHANISM
3-12-1. REEL BELT, REEL PULLEY, FRICTION GEAR

ASSEMBLY AND CLUTCH CHANGE LEVER
(See Fig.3-12-1)
Refer to section 3-2 and remove the mechanism unit.
Remove the reel belt © from the reel pulley @.
Take off the washer @) and remove the reel pulley @.
Take off the washer @ and remove the friction gear
assembly 6).
Remove the clutch change spring ©.
remove
the
clamp@ gripping
the
top
of the
mechanism
chassis, then remove the clutch change
lever ®.
ASSEMBLY NOTES:

After cleaning the shafts @ and @®, apply a drop of oil
NT-68 to each.
Be careful not to get any grease on the reel belt@.

remove
the cassette
mechanism
assembly.
Refer to section 3-12-1 and remove the reel pulley.
Remove the two screws (), then remove the clutch
mounting assembly @).
ASSEMBLY NOTES:
1.
Align the two holes @) with the shafts @ and ©. Be
careful
not to press part A of the clutch mounting
assembly © against the band brake assembly.
After assembly,
make
sure that the clamp on the
clutch change lever has snapped into the chassis.

Remove the S soft spring @).
Remove the clamp @®, then remove the S soft lever @).
Refer to section 3-12-2 and remove the clutch mounting
assembly.
Refer to section 3-11
and remove
the band
brake
assembly, then remove the supply reel assembly @
and the S reel gear ©.
ASSEMBLY NOTES:
