    Safety Chain In an emergency, there are two ways to kill power to the positioner and the blade: Push the E-stop button. 2. Pull the emergency pull line. Triggering any kill switch signals a relay to cut power to the positioner and the blade. You cannot restart the system until you reset the kill switches.

    I/O Cabinet The I/O Cabinet houses the I/O Panel as well as the Saw Blade and Top Clamp solenoids. Adjust air pressure in the TigerSaw 1000 Compact with the Supply Regulator. • Required supply pressure is 80-110 psi (550-758 kPa).

    Systems & Features Top Clamp The Top Clamp is an overhead clamp that pins the stock to the table during the saw stroke. I/O Panel The I/O Panel serves as the communication hub for the saw system, its accessories, and the positioner. Amplifier The Amplifier drives the positioner’s motor.

    STOP button turns the saw motor off. The blade continues spinning after the motor stops. TigerStop Switch: ® START button energizes the TigerStop positioner. ® STOP button deactivates the TigerStop positioner. ® Indicator Lights Power On: Illuminates when the system is electrified.

These change when accessing different screens. Manual Movement To manually move the positioner to a stop position, enter a distance from the saw blade. Enter this distance as a whole number, a decimal, or a fractional value.

Increment: • Can be a positive length that moves the positioner towards the tool. • Can be a negative length that moves the positioner away from the tool.

    Basic TigerStop Standard Controller Operation ® Preset The Preset function is a set of 100 programmable hot keys for quickly accessing common lengths. Presets: • Can be used in Set Point, Pusher, or Increment mode. • Can be programed in Preset slots number 1 - 100.

    Troubleshooting The support section of the TigerStop website (https://www.tigerstop.com/service-center/) contains resources ® useful for troubleshooting; including videos, manuals, and frequently asked questions. Movement and Accuracy Movement and accuracy problems are often resolved with the following steps: Turn the system off.
  • Page 39 Reduce binding by cleaning machine internals, replacing bearings, or adjusting mounting points. • The drive test (page 40) helps pinpoint locations when investigating a binding issue. Boot Diagnostics Boot diagnostics is a tool for testing TigerStop Standard ® Controller subsystems. To access boot diagnostics, press and hold while powering up.

    Maintenance Changing the Saw Blade A sharp blade improves cut quality, accuracy, and waste. Replace or resharpen blades whenever cut quality or stroke speed declines. Perform Lock-out/Tag-out before proceeding. Block up the Top Clamp. This is to prevent it from falling and obstructing the blade.
