    Operation Adjusting for Square After plenty of use, it is possible that the TigerSPC’s moving foot will require re-adjustment. An ideal adjustment results in a foot that is parallel to the table and perpendicular to the beam Remove the TigerSPC sticker below the display.

    Settings To access TigerSPC’s settings: Hold for 4 seconds. • TigerSPC displays a countdown. Hold until the countdown ends. While in settings: Scrolls through settings. Saves setting change. Resolution Choose to measure inches or millimeters and the measurement’s precision. Press to scroll through the resolution options.

    Press to select a number. 2. Press to change the number. Direction Swaps the direction that TigerSPC measures. Change this setting to measure on the outside of the Jaws. Press to toggle the setting. Options • Down - Default measuring direction (Outside dimensions). Open the Jaws to get positive numbers.

    Settings Auto Power Off Turns on or off the automatic power down function. Powers down TigerSPC after a set amount of time. This setting works with the Period setting to set the time before power down. Press to toggle the setting.

    Settings 4 Second Off Delay Sets a 4 second delay before TigerSPC powers off. Requires holding the power button until the screen countdown finishes to power off. Press to scroll through the options. Options • ON - Hold for 4 seconds to power off.

    Settings Incremental Measurement Turns on TigerSPC’s incremental measurement mode. Allows for setting a second Zero point to make 2 measurements in 1 length. Press to scroll through the options. Options • ON - Enables incremental measurement mode. • OFF - Disables incremental measurement mode.

    Miter Jaw (SB3302) Attaching Jaws The TigerSPC Miter Jaws are bi-directional to accommodate different miter angles. There are 4 slots on each foot of the TigerSPC. Each Jaw has magnets and tabs on the underside to secure it to a foot.
  • Page 23 When the Miter Jaw’s triangle is pointing towards the beam, use slots 3 and 4 on the SPC’s feet. • Always calibrate the TigerSPC after attaching jaws. When the Miter Jaw’s triangle is pointing towards the user, use slots 2 and 3 on the SPC’s feet.

    Appendix C: Swivel Block Attachment An optional hardware option for measuring from hole to hole or hole to edge. Mode Switching The Swivel Block has a foot for measuring with jaws and a block for measuring with a pin. Always calibrate (or ‘Zero’) the SPC after switching modes or jaws (page 21).
