1-15. Circuit Protection Parts (Fuse/IC
link)
This unit is provided with fuses and IC links for circuit
protection. These devices are fused when overcurrent
flows due to abnormal operation or when they overheat.
Always use the following specified parts for replacement.
Before replacing a blown device, be sure to remove the
cause of fusion.

Fuses and IC links are critical devices to maintain safety of
the unit.
Use of unspecified parts may cause fire or electric shock.

If you replace a fuse or IC link while the unit is powered
on, you may receive an electric shock.
Be sure to power off the unit and unplug the cable from the
DC IN connector before replacing fuses/IC links.

1-16. Battery-Backed Memory

The APR-65 board includes a memory IC (IC315) that
incorporates a battery.
This IC stores data such as setup menu setting data, and
includes a real-time clock (RTC) that is used by the unit.
Backed up by the battery, the memory data is retained and
the RTC can keep working without external power supply.
However, when the battery reaches the end of its life, the
memory data can no longer be retained and the RTC stops
working.
The memory stores the following data.
. Current setup data
. Menu bank data
. Calendar/clock data
. ID code data
. Error log data
When battery power is exhausted or when battery is
replaced with a new one, it is necessary to re-set current
setup, menu bank, calendar/clock, etc. (For the setting of
these data, refer to the Operation Manual.) In this case,
error log data and shot mark detect list data are cleared.
