1-17. Replacing Batteries for Data
Backup
An IC with a lithium battery for data backup is mounted on
the APR-65 board.
The lithium battery is mounted onto IC315 on the APR-65
board.

When replacing a battery, always use the specified battery
below.
If any other battery is used, it may overheat, explode or
catch fire.

Replacing procedure

Mount a new battery correctly paying attention to its mark
position. If the battery is mounted incorrectly, explosion or
fluid leakage may occur, causing injury or damage to the
surroundings.
1. Save the setup data, if possible, in a Memory Stick
using the SETUP SAVE menu in the maintenance
menu. (Refer to Section 3-2-4.)
2. Remove the APR-65 board. (Refer to Section 5-1-1.)
3. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into the gap between the
battery and IC315 to remove the battery.
4. Mount a new battery matching the marks on the
battery and IC315.

5. Reinstall the APR-65 board. (Refer to Section 5-1-1.)
6. Load the setup data from the Memory Stick using the
SETUP LOAD menu in the maintenance menu.
