Pump Lowers
WARNING
INJECTION HAZARD
To reduce the risk of a serious injury,
follow the Pressure Relief Procedure
on page 20 before checking or servicing
the equipment.
1. Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure on page
20.
2. Check all possible causes and problems before
disassembling the pump.
Pump runs too fast, or erratically
Check if the piston valve is stuck open, or if the
piston packings are worn. Clear the piston valve;
replace the packings. See your separate pump
manual (supplied).
Check if the intake valve is stuck open, or if the ball
or seat is damaged. Clear or service the intake
valve. See your separate pump manual.
Troubleshooting
Output pressure of proportioning pump A
or B is low on the upstroke
Output pressure of proportioning pump A
or B is low on the downstroke
Output pressure of proportioning pump A
or B is low on both strokes
Check if the piston valve is stuck open, or if the
piston packings are worn. Clear the piston valve;
replace the packings. See your separate pump
manual.
Check if the intake valve is stuck open, or if the ball
or seat is damaged. Clear or service the intake
valve. See your separate pump manual.
Clean or repair the fluid filters; see the separate
filter manual 307–273 (supplied).
