Daytime running lights
When you turn on the ignition the daytime
running lights will come on automatically .

The daytime running lights are activated when

Never use dayti me ru nning lights to see
w here yo u are going. They are not bright
enoug h and will not let you see f ar enough
ahead for safety, especially at dusk or
w hen it is dark. Be aware of changes in
outs ide light conditions when you are driv-
ing and respond by switching on your low
beams

Instrument lighting
The basic brightness of the illumination for
the instruments, the center console and the
display can be adjusted.

.,. Press the knob t o release it .
.. Rotating the knob to the right"+" wi ll in-
crease the basic brightness when it is dark .
.,. Rotating the knob to the left"-" will de-
crease the basic brightness when it is dark .
.,. Pressing t he knob will prevent unintentional
changes.

Tips
The illumination for the instrument cluste r
lights up whenever you switch on the igni-
tion w ith the vehicle headlights off . As the
daylight fades, th e inst rument cluste r ill u-
mination lik ewise dim s autom atic ally and
will go out comp letely when the outsi de
light is very low. This f eature is meant to
remi nd you to switch on the headli ght s
when outs ide light conditions become
poor .
