The CCT508 colour camera uses a high sensitive 1/4" Sony Super HAD CCD and solid state
circuitry that provides long life and high reliability. It offers excellent image quality and is not
subject to magnetic field distortion. The camera is highly resistant to shock and vibration and is
easy to install.
Installation Precautions:
1) Do not allow water ingress.
2) Do not touch the CCD element. If necessary use a soft cloth moistened with alcohol to wipe away dust.
3) Do not shake the camera.
4) Avoid places where there is direct sunlight.
5) When using this camera where lighting differs greatly, it is recommended that a Manual Iris Lens is utilised
with an ND filter.
6) Avoid places where temperatures can exceed 50ºc, high humidity, direct rainfall, frequent vibrations or shock.
7) During the night, if a minimum brightness of 0.5 LUX cannot be achieved, install additional lighting.

Installation Instructions:
1) A 2.5mm fixed iris lens is supplied with this camera. Other lenses can be fitted. If using a CS mount lens,
remove the C Mount Ring.
2) Connect the BNC video output to the monitor or other device utilising a 75 Ohms type co-ax cable. We
recommend the RG59 co-ax cable.
3) Connect the power source using the DC jack. The camera uses a 12v DC supply at 150mA.
Operating Instructions
1) Adjust the focus and iris of the lens to obtain the best picture.
2) If the subject cannot be correctly focused when adjusting the focus, adjust the Back Focus as follows:
a) Set the Lens Focus Ring to infinity
b) Aim the camera at a subject at a distance of more than 20 metres away
c) Loosen the Mount Lens securing screw using an Allen Key
d) Turn the Lens and the Lens Mount together until the subject is in focus and the image clear
e) Tighten the Mount Lens securing screw.
