ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS
3. ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
Read and perform these adjustments when repairing
the circuits or replacing electrical parts or PCB
assemblies.
CAUTION
When replacing iC's or transistors, use only specified
silicon grease (YG6260M).
(To prevent the damage to IC's and transistors.)
3-1: PG SHIFTER
CONDITIONS
MODE-PLAYBACK
Input Signal-Alignment Tape (JG001A)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Playback the alignment tape. (JGO01A)
2. Press both Tracking AUTO key on the remote control and
the PLAY button on the set simultaneously until the
indicator ATR disappear's. If the indicator ATR
disappear's, the adjustment is finished.
(If the ATR indicator is still illuminated )
1. Connect CH-1 on the oscilloscope to TP1002 and CH-2
to TP4201.
2. Playback. the alignment tape (JGO01A).
3. Adjust VR1001 until the beginning of the switching pulse
is 6.5 + 0.5(H) at both leading and trailing edges as
shown in the Fig, 3-1-A, B.

NOTE
The AC Cord must be removed before shorting discon-
necting between TP6603 and TP6604.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Set VR6605 until the audio level is minimum.
2. Make a short circuit between TP6603 and TP6604.
3. Connect the frequency counter to TP6608.
4. Adjust the VR6604 so that the frequency counter value is
15.73 KHz + 40 Hz.
5. After the adjustments, disconnect the short circuit
between TP6603 and TP6604.
3-3: STEREO FILTER
CONDITIONS
MODE-STOP
NOTE
The AC Cord must be removed before shorting
disconnecting between TP6605 and TP6606.
INSTRUCTIONS
. Set VR6605 until the audio level is minimum.
. Make a short circuit between TP6605 and TP6606.
. Input the signal (16.5 KHz 100mVrms) to TP6607.
. Connect the AC voltmeter to TP6602.
. Adjust the VR6603 so that the value of AC voltmeter is
minimum.
. After the adjustments, disconnect the short circuit
between TP6605 and TP6606.

3-4: AUDIO LEVEL
CONDITIONS
MODE-STOP
Input Signal-Audio Signal : 400Hz (60% modulation)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Receive the monochrome pattern signal.
2. Connect the AC voltmeter to TP6607.
3. Adjust the VR6605 so that the value of AC voltmeter is
90 + 3mV.
3-5: TUNER SEPARATION
CONDITIONS
MODE-STOP
Input Signal : CATV-36CH (L CH = 2KHz, R CH = 400Hz)
AUDIO OUTPUT SW : STEREO POSITION
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Input the signal (stereo).
2. Connect the AC voltmeter to AUDIO OUT (L-CH, R-
CH) through 400Hz (L-CH) filter and 2KHz (R-CH) filter.
3. Adjust the VR6602 so that the R-CH output is mini-
mum.
4. Adjust the VR6601 so that the L-CH output is minimum.
