both devices. Register S51 governs the serial
interface speed of the modem.
When the modems connect in nonreliable (no error
control) mode, the T3000 may change its interface
speed to match the speed of the connection,
depending on the current setting of the S 181 register.
Refer to the section titled V.42 and MNP Error
Control Support described later'in this chapter.
The interface speed of the modem can be set either
manually or automatically. For example, to set the
modem's interface speed to 300 bps using the S51
register, type:
A TS51 =O<CR>
To manually set the modem's interface speed, set the
S51 register to one of the values listed below:

300 bps

1200 bps
2
2400 bps
3
4800 bps

7200 bps

9600 bps

12000 bps

14400 bps

19200 bps

38400 bps

57600 bps
Note:
The modem cannot communicate at 57 ,600 bps until
you set the S51 register to 7.
