Telephone Network Interface
The modem is connected to the telephone network
through an RJ-11 modular connector. Table B-1
presents a definition of the pins in the line connector.

Before the modem can use the NAl or Ml/MIC
function, the hardware jumpers on the modem board
need to be properly positioned. Figure B-1 shows the
location of the jumpers on the board and the position
of the jumpers for the Ml/MIC function. To use the
A/Al function, move the jumper to the opposite
position.
Set the &J command to enable the selected function.
