The &Fl configuration is used with most
asynchronous Front End Processor (FEP) host ports
operating at a fixed interface speed of 14,400 bps.

The &F2 configuration is used with most computers
running intelligent software that interprets the
modem result codes and adjusts the interface speed
accordingly. Set to this configuration, modem result
codes are sent to the computer.
