The S45 register enables or disables access to the
modem control functions from a remote modem.
To allow remote command access, the modems must
connect with MNP, and this register on both modems
must be set to 255 before connecting.
Remote access is not enabled for a session unless
these condition are met. Possible contents of this
register are as follows:

Register S46 determines the type of call security used
when the modem answers an incoming call.
To change the setting of this register, you must enter
a password. The default system password is "PEP,"
which must be entered in upper case. You can change
the password by entering the -U command.
