6.3 Disassembly drive/carrier unit

See first 5.7: Sequence of disassembly of the
pump head unit.

6.3.1 Motor disassembly

The disassembly of the motor can be carried
out by the operator.

Step 1: Remove screws
•
Step 2: Pull off the motor
If problems arise with the motor within the
agreed warranty period, contact your Xylem
representative and return the motor if neces-
sary.

Further disassembly of the drive/carrier unit is
excluded for warranty and traceability reasons.
If this assembly is damaged, please return it in
consultation with your contact person. You will
receive a replacement assembly as soon as
possible, which will be charged with the calcu-
lated damage.
We can also prepare a replacement assembly
for you on request, so that a smooth exchange
can take place.
Notice:
Assembly is carried out in reverse order to
disassembly. Position the motor to match the
drive/carrier unit and tighten the screws. Ob-
serve the tightening torques of the screws from
Appendix 3.
Assembly should only be carried out by trained
personnel to reduce or avoid errors. For this
reason, this operating manual does not go into
any further detail on assembly. Please contact
your Xylem representative for any training
required.
