2.5 Pump-specific safety instruc-
tions
ATTENTION
Impermissible work on the pump head
Never remove the cap plug on the pressure
relief valve to change the set pressure. This
will change the performance data considerably
and the warranty will no longer apply.
When ordering, pay attention to the required
connection position (see 3.3). Subsequent
modification is no longer possible, as other-
wise leaks may occur.
Inadmissible temperature range
Personal injury and damage to property due to
bursting or leakage of the pump. Exceeding
the max. operating temperature can lead to
destruction of the seals. This may cause hot
pumping medium to escape.
 Never exceed the specified operating tem-
peratures. Maintain the temperature range
of the pump.
-
The maximum permissible tempera-
ture of the medium is 40°C.
Cold or hot machine parts
Skin burns from touching the machine surface.
 Check the temperature before touching the
machine surface.
 Use appropriate PPE when working with
product.
 As a minimum, hot or cold machine parts
must be correctly guarded against contact
by the customer.
Gripping or winding of moving machine
parts
Severe personal injury and damage to property
caused by graspcatching or wrapping limbs
and/or clothing.
 Always ensure any moving parts are ade-
quately guarded.
 Never run the drive assembly without the
associated pump head or guarding.
 Observe safety instructions.
Contact or inhalation of hazardous liquids,
mists or vapours
Death, serious personal injury and material
damage due to contact with or inhalation of
hazardous liquids, mists or vapours.
 Drain leaks of hazardous materials to be
conveyed in such a way that there is no
danger to persons or the environment.
 Observe legal regulations.

Risk of tripping and falling
Serious personal injury from tripping / falling
over electrical cables leading to the machine.
 In the case of permanently installed and
mobile pumps, place the electrical supply
line in such a way that there is no risk of
tripping or damage to electrical cables.
Electric shock
Death or serious personal injury due to contact
with live machine parts.
 Only use technically flawless plugs and
cables.
 Have the electrical connection carried out
by a licensed specialist.
 Observe the VDE and local regulations, in
particular the safety regulations.
Danger due to electrical overload
An overload can cause death, serious bodily
injury or property damage.
 Compare the voltage specifications on the
motor plate with the operating voltage.
 Install a motor circuit breaker if necessary.
Switching variants
For the circuit variants, refer to the motors
installed in the system (see additional docu-
mentation or documents for motors used on
site).
Noise emission during operation of the
pump
The acoustic measurement in the sound room
according to DIN EN ISO 9614-2. showed that
the sound pressure is about 60dB.
 Always wear hearing protection when
standing near the running pump.
 Comply with the local legal regulations for
noise pollution.
ATTENTION
Danger due to hard or abrasive parts in the
pumped medium
Parts that are too hard or abrasive in the
pumped medium will destroy the pump.
 Make sure that no hard or abrasive parts
enter the pump.
