Installation 6
After the Alkaline Ionizer has been installed or after it has not been used for a prolonged period (generally, 1 week or more),
be sure to measure the pH level, and check that it is within the "pH standard" before using the Alkaline Ionizer. Remember to
measure the pH level periodically (at least once a month).
Note
What is the pH level (ion concentration)?
z
The pH level indicates the degree of alkalinity, neutrality or acidity of
water (aqueous solutions), and stands for "hydrogen ion exponent."
Preparation: pH test kit (supplied accessory)
Measure the pH level with Drinking Water (Alkaline) 3 and acidic water respectively.
1
Put 2 drops of pH test liquid into the test tube.
The pH cannot be determined accurately with any amount other than
z
2 drops.
If the test water is placed before the pH test liquid is added, the 2
z
liquids may not be evenly mixed, resulting in incorrect measurement.
2
Place the water generated by this machine
in a regular cup.
Run water at least 10 seconds in order to
z
obtain a stable pH level.
3
Put the sample water into the test tube.
When some of the test water is first collected in a glass
z
and then poured into the test tube, it will be easier to align
the level with the line inside the test tube.
So long as the water inside the test tube is within 5 mm
z
above or below the line, no problems will be posed in the
pH level measurement. There is no need to adjust the
level until it comes up to the exact level of the line.
4
Under the enough light,
compare the result with the pH Chart.
The color of the test water will change as time passes.
z
Compare its pH level with reference
to the pH Chart immediately.
