Note:
Control numbers not listed are undefined, and may be used in
future MIDI devices.
For an explanation of how these messages will affect the receiving
device, see the owner's manual for that device.
The most frequently used switch type functions have been preset for
easy assignment. These are listed in the front panel of the MCS2.
PREO6
Sustain:
When the switch is pressed,
a Sustain On message is sent,
and when it is released, a Sustain Off message is sent (MIDI
Control Change 64).
PREO7
Portamento:
When the switch is pressed, a Portamento On message is
sent, and when it is released, a Sustain Off message is sent
(MIDI Control Change 65).
PREO8
Sostenuto:
When the switch is pressed, a Sostenuto On message is sent,
and when
it is released, a Sostenuto
Off message
is sent
(MIDI Control Change 66).
