3.4.4 Evaporator connection

NOTE
Use copper pipes. Flanges and O-rings are supplied with the refrigeration unit.
NOTE
It is recommended the use of bulk rolled refrigeration pipes and pipe benders to reduce
fittings and solder joints where applicable. The welding process also requires the use
of nitrogen or another inert gas to prevent oxidation and the formation of incrustations
inside the pipes.
The refrigeration pipes can be routed either outside or inside the cold storage depending
on the installation and application

Take care the connectors, avoid stress.
Cable positionings and wrappings must be done before joining the connectors in case
they are connected disconnect them first.

NOTE
Apply refrigerant oil to all refrigerant pipes O-rings prior to assembly.
Fabricate a 28 mm (1.10 in) suction pipe from the evaporator to the condenser. Use the provided
flanges and O-rings to connect the suction pipe to the evaporator and the condenser.
Fabricate a 12 mm (0.47 in) hot gas pipe from the evaporator to the condenser. Use the provided
flanges and O-rings to connect the hot gas pipe to the evaporator and the condenser.
Fabricate a 10 mm (0.39 in) liquid pipe from the evaporator to the filter drier.
Fix all pipes with clamps.
Seal the piping passageways hole with mastic to avoid infiltration.
Protective covers should be fabricated to prevent damage to the refrigeration pipes and electrical
wires and installed at the completion of the installation.
