Does communication wiring
meet specifications?
14 gauge stranded wiring rated
for 600v

Are there any junction boxes or
splices in the wiring except for
code required disconnects?
No
Is Wiring connected to the
proper terminals?
L, N, S1 are not always
configured from left to right.
Yes
Check Line Voltage at indoor
and Outdoor Units for 230 VAC
as required.
Is voltage correct?
Yes
Is an external condensate pump
being powered from terminal
block?
It must have it's own power
source.
No
Measure voltage between S1
and N. Is the voltage fluctuating
between 0 and 24 vdc?
Yes
Check the indoor and outdoor
fan motors. See Component
Testing section. Do motors
check good?
