3. Using Your Camera
3.10 Settings Menu
The Settings Menu can be accessed while in any Photo or Video mode.
From the main screen, press the MENU button, then press the RIGHT
button. The menu will move right and switch tabs from the current mode's
icon to the Settings menu.
NOTE: The settings menu cannot be accessed while the camcorder is
recording a video file. If the camcorder is recording a file, you must stop
recording before the settings menu can be accessed. To stop recording at
any time, press the SHUTTER button.
3.10.1 Button Sound
This function allows you to turn off the sounds of the camera.
1. In all Photo and Video Modes press the MENU button.
2. Press the RIGHT button to enter the settings menu.
3. Select 'Button Sound' using the UP or DOWN buttons and press the OK
button to enter the 'Button Sound' menu.
4. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to navigate the menu, and press the OK
button to confirm your selected option (Off, Low, Medium, High).
5. Press the MODE button to exit the settings menu without making a
selection.
3.10.2 Focus Mode
This function allows you to change the camera's focusing mode, either
manual focus or auto focus.
1. In all Photo and Video Modes press the MENU button.
2. Press the RIGHT button to enter the settings menu.
3. Select 'Focus Mode' using the UP or DOWN buttons and press the OK
button to enter the 'Focus Mode' menu.
4. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to navigate the menu, and press the OK
button to confirm your selected option (Auto Focus, Manual Focus).
5. When Manual Focus is selected, to focus the camera in all photo and
video modes, half press the SHUTTER button until the red box on the
screen turns green. The subject surrounded by the box will now be in
focus.
6. Press the MODE button to exit the settings menu without making a
