With the orange tab pushed back insert (just) the tip of a pocket knife into the crack between the camera and the battery. Carefully push the knife blade in a sideways motion such that the knife tip grabs the side of the battery. This action will slowly pull the battery out in very small amounts. Do enough times to where you can grab the battery with fingers and pull it completely out of the camera.
