5.6 Braking & Emergency stop
There are three ways to stop your wheelchair:
• Simplest and safest way to stop the wheelchair is to release
the joys! ck. This will bring the chair to a halt in a controlled
manner.
• Pulling back the joys! ck will break the chair abruptly with a
fast stop.
• Switching the control system off while the chair is in mo! on
will also bring the chair to a halt.
WARNING!
• Switching the control system off is only to be used in an
emergency situa! on as the stopping ac! on is very abrupt.
