Remove the FCB from the fixed RF cover by unplugging the seven
connectors from the FCB, and unscrew and remove the ground screw
at JS.

Remove the FCB from its standoffs.

Place the FCB on the standoffs.
Replace the ground screw.

Plug the following seven connectors back into the FCB:

Replace the front RF cover.

NOTE
The Sealed Data Module comes with two sector transducers,
neither of which are field replaceable.
If the sector
transducer becomes inoperative, do the following:
1.
Power down the drive and remove the front RF cover.
See Figure
S-13.
2.
Unplug connector J4 from the read/write and clock PCB (see Figure
S-11).
Turn connector J4 180 degrees and replug back into
connector J4.
Rotating the connector 180 degrees activates the
spare sector transducer and deactivates the faulty unit.
3.
If the backup transducer does not work, the entire sealed Data
Module assent:>ly needs to be replaced.

Replace the drive front RF cover •
