1 INSTALLATION 1.3.1 Electrical section Connect the power supply plug of the TGA-50 main body directly to a socket-outlet with earthing contact(s) of 120VAC, or connect it first to one of the socket-outlet of the B-20 step-down transformer and second connect the power supply plug of the B-20 to a socket-outlet with earthing contact(s) of 220/240 VAC.

Set the gas flow rate by the adjusting knob while observing the gas flow meter on the left side(facing the front) of the TG section. The indicator shows the flow of nitrogen gas in mL/min. Connection between the TGA-50 and the TA-60WS interface should be carried out as follows. Connect "RS-232C" connector on the rear panel of the TGA-50 and one of "CH1" ~ "CH4" connectors on the rear panel of the TA-60WS interface with the transmission cable (supplied with the TA-60WS, about 3m long).

Usually, a sample is put in a platinum sample cell and then this cell is put on the sample pan hanging down in the reaction tube where the atmosphere can be controlled. Weights equivalent to the sample are put on the weight pan to almost balance the beam. TGA-50/50H...
