Pump Failure (No power at the pump)

Pump failure (Operation with Passive Infra-Red Sensor – PIR):
• In the event of a power failure while the pump is operating, the Whale Sense will close
the solenoids after 5 seconds. The Whale Sense will display a flashing blue LED.
• If the PIR detects movement, the solenoids remain shut and Whale Sense continues to flash blue.
• When power is restored to the pump, the solenoids will open if the PIR is activated.
Where there is no power at the pump when the PIR is activated:
• The Whale Sense unit LED flashes blue and the solenoids remain shut.
Pump failure (Operation with a retractive Switch)
• In the event of a power failure while the pump is operating, the Whale Sense will close the
solenoids after 5 seconds. The Whale Sense will display a flashing orange LED.
• When power is restored, the Whale Instant Match will sound an alarm and the Whale Instant
Match LED will flash orange. To clear the fault, press the retractive switch. This will clear the fault
on the Whale Sense and the Instant Match.
• After the fault is cleared the Instant Match and Whale Sense will automatically re-pair.
Where there is no power at the pump at the start of the shower:
• Where there is no power at the pump and the retractive switch is wired to Whale Sense, pressing
the retractive switch will not open the solenoids. The solenoids will remain shut.
