Safety instructions

⋅ NB: Read all the safety notes and
instructions. Failure to observe
the safety notes and instructions
may cause electric shock, fire and/
or serious injuries.
⋅ NB: Packaging materials such as
poly bags should be kept out of
reach of children.
⋅ Always keep children under 8 years
away from the appliance and
cord.
⋅ Children 8 years and older may
clean and maintain the appliance
only under supervision.
⋅ Children 8 years and older and
people who lack knowledge or
experience of handling the appli-
ance, or whose physical, sensory or
mental capacities are restricted,
may only use the appliance under
supervision or instruction by a per-
son responsible for their safety.
Do not leave the appliance oper-
ating unsupervised.
⋅ Do not let children play with the
appliance.
⋅ The appliance gets hot during use.
Therefore, please be aware of the
risk of burns and scalding when
touching the appliance, due to ris-
ing steam, or when touching hot
eggs.
⋅ Remove the cover slowly, angled
away from you, so that the steam
escapes towards the back.
⋅ Do not lean over the appliance
while it is operating. Use pothold-
ers when handling the cover or the
egg rack.

⋅ If there is any residual water left in
the heating bowl after the cook-
ing process, allow the appliance to
cool before emptying the bowl.
⋅ If the heating bowl is overfilled,
boiling water may spurt out dur-
ing operation!
⋅ Take care when handling the
measuring cup. There is a sharp
needle on the bottom of the
measuring cup.
⋅ Never operate this appliance on an
external timer or a separate
remote control system.
⋅ Place the appliance on a stable
and level surface and do not oper-
ate it close to heat sources (hob,
gas flame etc.) or in an explosive
environment in which flammable
liquids or gases are located.
⋅ Make sure it is far away enough
from walls and cupboards to pre-
vent damage caused by rising
steam.
⋅ Before each use, check the appli-
ance and accessories to ensure
they are in perfect condition. The
appliance must not be operated if
it has been dropped or shows
signs of damage. In these cases,
the appliance must be unplugged
and inspected by a qualified elec-
trician.
⋅ Never immerse the appliance or
plug in water in order to clean.
⋅ Unplug after each use. To prevent
the appliance from being acciden-
tally pulled off the work surface,
do not allow the cord to hang over
the edge.
