4.15 TWIN SHEET FEEDER FEED TEST
4.15.1 GENERAL
The Twin Sheet Feeder (TSF) checks the hardware used by the TSF.
4.15.2 TWIN SHEET FEEDER FEED TEST PROCEDURE
a. Set the five-test dip switches to the setting for the TSF Feed test as
listed in table 4-1.
b. Attach the Twin Sheet Feeder to the printer.
c. Place paper into both bins of the Feeder
e. Turn the printer on.
f. Press the Test switch and observe that the following operations occur:
The carriage and daisy will ,home, then the carriage will move 4.5
inches from home to guide the paper into the printer. If there is an
error in homing the carriage; the routine will stop and set the seven
segment display to the applicable error code.
If
there is a sheet of paper in the printer, it will be ejected into
the TSF pickup bin. Then a new sheet will be fed from bin one •
If the TSF driver

is working correctly, a sheet of paper will
be fed into the printer.
The test will automatically terminate when the sheet has been fed.
4.16 TWIN SHEET FEEDER EJECT TEST
4.16.1 GENERAL
The TSF eject test checks that the TSF will eject a sheet of paper from
the printer.
4.16.2 TWIN SHEET FEEDER EJECT TEST PROCEDURE
a. Follow the instructions for TSF feed test to feed a sheet of paper into
the printer.
b. Set the five test dip switches for the TSF Eject test as listed in
table 4-1 .
c. Press the Test switch.
d.
If
there is a sheet of paper in the platen area, it will be ejected
into the TSF pickup bin .
e. The test will automatically terminate when the sheet of paper has been
ejected.
