h. The wheel will continue moving to the home petal and the phase which

turned the sensor on will be displayed on the seven segment display.
The phases are displayed as regular numbers from one to eight.
If the
sensor never turns on, the decimal point in the display will turn on.
i. After the test is completed the ale.rm will sound and the printer will
deselect.
Power will remain applied to the daisy wheel.
Press the
Test switch to terminate the test.

GENERAL
The Display test provides a method to check the integrity of the seven
segment test display.
The validity of error codes can be assured once the
test has been rtm and all segments are operating correctly.
4.13.2
SEVEN SEGMENT DISPLAY TEST PROCEDURE
a.
Set the five test dip switches as shown in table 4-1 for the Display
test.
b.
Press the Test switch.
c.
Observe
that
all
the
segments of the
seven
segment
test display
extinguish and then the display will then blink on and off at two
second intervals.
d.
Pressing the Test switch again will terminate the Display test.

POWER UP DIAGNOSTIC TEST

GENERAL
The power up diagnostics are the same as those used in tne Burn In test
(paragraph 4.7)
4.14.2
POWER UP DIAGNOSTIC TEST PROCEDURE
a.
Set the five test dip switches to the settings shown in the Burn In
test as described in paragraph 4-7.
b.
Press the Test Switch.
c.
The power up diagnostics wil 1 run in a loop for the same amount of
time that is described in Burn In.
The first

halt the test (The Test LED will extinguish and tr,_ Mal function LED
will
light).
The
seven
segment
display
will
flash
the
Field
Engineering Error Codes that where generated

turning
the
printer
off.
After
the
power
up
diagnostic test has run for the specified time for the Burn In test,
control
is returned to tea';_ mode
for
the C"'lmpletion of the
tests
contained in the Burn In test
s~quence.
