values. It depends on the condi-
tions of use of the power tool and
the processed materials.
Information on noise and vibration
The declared overall level of noise and
vibration has been measured according
to EN 62841-22:2016 and can be used to
compare one power tool with another.
The declared overall noise and vibration
level can be used in noise and vibration
exposure assessments. The declared level
of noise and vibration refers to the work
for which the power tool is intended.

7. PREPARATION FOR WORK
WARN ING!
Remove the battery from the pow-
er tool before preparation, during
maintenance, and after use.
Unpack and inspect the power tool and
accessories. Check that the power tool
has not been damaged during transport.
Make sure that there is no condensation
on the power tool. It is forbidden to pre-
pare the electric tool for work and to use
it until the condensate has completely
dried.
Installing/removing the cartridge
(for the CD218Q model) (Fig. 2)
A quick-release cartridge for accessories
is installed on the power tool.
To remove the cartridge, pull the locking
sleeve (1) and do not let go. Disconnect
the installed cartridge from the spindle.
To install the quick-release chuck, pull the
locking sleeve (1) and do not let go. In-
stall the chuck on the spindle. Then re-
lease the clutch.

in the bit holder (for the CD-218Q model).
Power tool functions as a cordless screw-
driver when the quick-release chuck is
disconnected. The bit in the holder is
fixed using a magnetic holder. Install the
bit (1) in the bit holder (2) (Fig. 3).
Installation of the corner nozzle (not
included in the package) (Fig. 4):
– Remove the quick release cartridge.
– Pull the locking sleeve (1) of the corner
attachment.
– Install the corner nozzle in the bit hold-
er (2) of the power tool in the desired
position. Make sure to check the reli-
ability of the installation.
To do this, pull the corner nozzle.
– Install the bit.
Installation of a quick-removable chuck
and a drill on an angle nozzle (not includ-
ed in the package) (Fig. 5):
– Use the quick-removable chuck (2) with
a drill (1) on the corner nozzle (3).
– Attach the corner nozzle to the bit
holder. Be sure to check the reliabili-
ty of the installation by pulling on the
quick-release cartridge.
Installation of a nozzle with an
offset center and a bit (not included
in the package) (Fig. 6):
Install in the same sequence as the angle
nozzle. Then install the bit (1) in the bit
holder of the nozzle (2). Be sure to check
the reliability of the installation by pulling
on the nozzle. The cartridge is not remov-
able in the CD-218 power tool.
Installation of accessories in a
quick-release/ quick-clamping
chuck (drill, bit) (Fig. 7)
To install the accessory (1), adjust the dis-
tance between the clamping cams (2),
according to the
diameter of the accessory (1). To do this,
turn the clamping sleeve (4) in the direc-
tion (A) (
GRIP) or in the direction (B)
(RELEASE
).
Install the accessory (1) as far as
it
will
go
in
quick-clamp chuck (3). Tighten the
chuck coupling (4) in direction (A)
(
GRIP).
