SPECIAL SETTINGS

Select input source

Press the INPUT button to switch between inputs.

Note
' When power is turned on from power off (standby), the input returns to the state it was in before power was turned off
(standby).
' When the power is turned on after unplugging and plugging in the power supply, input returns to LINE 1 (default value).

Adjust sound volume

Rotate the VOLUME dial to adjust the sound volume. Rotate clockwise to increase sound volume, and counterclockwise to
reduce sound volume. By pressing the FINE button, the volume adjustment mode can be changed as follows:
' FINE mode
Sound volume is adjusted in increments of 0.5 step.
' NORMAL mode
Sound volume is adjusted in increments of 1.0 step.

Changing settings

Press the MENU button to change the unit's setting items. Settings 1 to 5 can be selected by pressing the MENU button
the respective number of times. To make a setting, press the < / > button to choose a setting, the press the EXIT button to
confirm the selection.

L-R balance setting
Press the > button to lower the L channel level and shift the sound localization toward the R channel. Press the <
button to lower the R channel level and shift the sound localization toward the L channel. Default value is both L/R
channels set to "0".

Input level setting
This unit allows individual input level settings to be made for different source components, to compensate for
differences in sound volume between high-volume components and low-volume components. Input levels can be set
between –10 dB and +20 dB.

PASS through setting (LINE 2, LINE 5 only)
When an AV amplifier's pre-out output is connected to this unit's LINE 2 or LINE 5 input, the unit's sound volume is
fixed. When the < / > buttons are pressed, the setting changes as follows: No sound is output when in MUTE mode.
CAUTION
' Volume control is disabled for input terminals with the PASS through setting, so if a device with no volume
control is connected, the device will output a loud volume. Be sure to connect devices with volume control
functions with the volume turned down to avoid risk of damage to the speakers.

Using the ECO (energy-saving) mode
When set to ON, the unit will automatically enter standby mode if it is left for 20 minutes or more without adjusting the
volume or performing any key input operations.
Press the > button to turn the unit ON (ECO ON) and press the < button to turn it OFF (ECO OFF).
The factory default setting is OFF (ECO OFF).
CAUTION
' Setting the ECO mode to ON (ECO ON) prevents unnecessary power consumption due to forgetting to turn
off the power.
