BATTERY INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT
The RC unit uses two AAA size batteries for power supply.
Slide the battery compartment cover off and insert the batteries observ-
ing the polarity indicated by the "+" and "-", symbols on the compartment
wall. Proceed the similar way when replacing the batteries.
Note:
1. Do not use old batteries or batteries of different types – this may
impair the RC unit operation.
2. If you are not using the RC unit for more than one month, remove the
batteries, as they can leak and damage the RC unit.
3. If operated on a daily basis the service life of the batteries will be
approx. 6 months.
4. Replace the batteries when there is no more sound confirming the
reception of the RC commands by the indoor unit or the signal trans-
mission icon on the RC display disappears.
5. MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION! Disconnect the unit from power supply before maintenance.
MAINTENANCE OF THE INDOOR UNIT FRONT PANEL
Careful maintenance and proper cleaning of the unit will extend its
service life and save electric power.
31
Cleaning instructions:
– Stand on a stable surface, otherwise you may fall and injure yourselves
or damage the appliance;
– Do not touch the metal parts of the unit when removing the front
panel to avoid injury;
– When cleaning the front panel and the RC unit use a dry cloth; if the
contamination will not come off, use a damp cloth.
Note:
1. Do not rinse the unit or the RC under water!
2. Do not use alcohol-containing liquids, gasoline, oils or polishing media.
3. Do not apply excessive force to the front panel surface – this may
cause it to fall off.
4. Do not use abrasive cleaning media or metal wool mops which can
damage the unit body surfaces.
5. The water temperature should not exceed 45
deformation or discoloration of the plastic parts.
AIR FILTER CLEANING
1. Remove the protective grids from the front panel. Extract the air filters.
2. Clean the filters with a vacuum cleaner or rinse them with water. If
the filters are badly contaminated, wash them in warm water with a
mild detergent. Thoroughly clean the filters.
3. Reinstall the filters and close the protective grids.
MAINTENANCE
At the end of the season
Perform the following:
– Turn the AC unit on in the FAN mode for a prolonged time;
– Then turn the unit off and disconnect it from power supply;
– Clean the air filters;
– Wipe the indoor and outdoor units with a soft dry cloth;
– Remove the batteries from the RC unit.
At the beginning of the season
Perform the following:
– Ensure that the air intake and exhaust openings on the indoor and
outdoor units are not obstructed;
– Ensure there is no rust and corrosion on the outdoor unit;
– Ensure that the air filters are cleaned;
– Connect the unit to power supply;
– Install the batteries into the RC unit.
6. TROUBLESHOOTING
1
The AC will not
– Power plug inserted loosely into the
start up
– RC batteries depleted
– Protection tripped
– Insufficient power supply voltage
2
Air is not
– Air intake and exhaust openings
cooled/heated
– Wrong temperature setting
– Air filter contaminated
3
AC control
Strong interference (high static charges,
malfunctions
power supply malfunctions) can cause
RC malfunctions. Disconnect the AC from
power supply for 2 to 3 seconds, then
connect again
4
Delayed control
Mode changes during operation can take
responses
up to 3 minutes
С – hot water may cause
