Application Guide

1.4 Best practices

Danfoss Ally™ Radiator Thermostats are masters in temperature regulation, but if your radiator
is hidden behind a curtain or a piece of furniture, it is recommended to install the Danfoss Ally™
Room Sensor to your set-up. Doing this you will achieve a perfect indoor climate. The small and
discrete room sensor measures both temperature and humidity, and communicates back to the
Danfoss Ally™ Gateway.
Do not install the Danfoss Ally™ Room Sensor
on outer walls or where it will be subject to
direct sunlight.
The installation height should be 1,5 m mini-
mum from the oor surface. The room sensor
needs to be at least 0,5m away from doors
and windows.
In wet rooms the Danfoss Ally™ Room Sensor
(RS) shall be installed according to local build-
ing regulations.
Danfoss Ally™ Radiator Thermostat
The batteries in the Danfoss Ally™ Radiator Thermostat last up to two years. A month before the
battery is completely discharged, a low battery symbol appears on the thermostat's display and
PUSH noti cations inform you that it is time to replace the batteries. A good tip is to set a calen-
dar reminder for 2 years in the future, where you change all the batteries at once – even if they
have not necessarily run out yet.
If you do not change the batteries before they run completely dry, the thermostat will open
slightly and thus ensure that heat constantly ows through the radiator. This is a safety mode to
ensure that frost damage does not occur.
