4 Installation

4.1 Embedded Controller firmware

This SW can only be installed by a service technician.
On Copier / Printer models, the Copier UI text must be downloaded by the service technician as
well.
User list, extension list, and Web Administrator password will be returned to factory default state
as a result of this upgrade.

4.2 Printer firmware

This SW can only be installed by a service technician.
To enable 30 inch size detection, the technician must change NVM setting 20-022 to a value of 1.
If a finisher is attached, the technician must change NVM setting 20-003 to a value of 2.

4.3 Windows Driver Installation

For Windows 2000 and XP, please refer to chapter 1 of the Xerox 6030/6050 Wide Format
Windows Driver User Guide for detailed installation instructions. These instructions are on the
documentation CD that arrived with the product or available on www.Xerox.com under Support &
Drivers.
For Windows 98, updated installation instructions for the driver and TCP/IP Direct Print Utility are
in the Readme.txt file included with the software.
