Checking the throttle cable routing

Warning
Danger of accidents The throttle cable can become kinked, trapped or blocked if it is not routed cor-
rectly.
If the throttle cable is kinked, trapped or blocked, the speed can no longer be controlled.
Make sure that the throttle cable routing and the play in throttle cable complies with the specifica-
tion.
Check that the chain guide is firmly seated.

If the chain guide is loose:
Tighten the screws on the chain guide.

Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. (
Check the frame for damage, cracking, and deformation.

If the frame shows signs of damage, cracking, or deforma-
tion:
Change the frame.

Repairs on the frame are not permitted.

If the link fork exhibits damage, cracking, or deformation:
Change the link fork.
