Recommended minimum distance between portable and mobile RF communications devices
and the LMM56800 Large Monitor Manager
The LMM56800 Large Monitor Manager is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment in
which interference due to electromagnetic radiation is controlled.
The customer or user of the LMM can help prevent electromagnetic interference by maintaining the
recommended minimum distance between portable and mobile RF communications devices (trans-
mitter) and the monitor as shown below. This is based on the maximum output power of the commu-
nication device.

For transmitters whose maximum nominal output power is not shown above, the recommended mini-
mum distance "d" in meters (m) can be determined using the formula for calculating the frequency of
the transmitter. "P" here stands for the transmitter's maximum measured nominal output power in
watts (W), as recommended by the transmitter's manufacturer.
Note: For 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the recommended minimum distance for the higher frequency
range applies.
Note: This information may not be applicable in all situations. Absorption and reflection by struc-
tures, objects, and people impact the propagation of electromagnetic waves.
